Let’s start with prints.
Prints are an affordable and gift-friendly way to buy artworks. These can often be ‘reproduction’ prints of original artworks, or a series of print editions in their own rights (ie: there is no original version).
Prints can either come framed, mounted or unframed, and all our prints are signed by the artist. Prints start from £50. Below are just a handful of the dozens of print options on offer at Lux Gallery.
Something 3D?
Wall art can be quite a personal thing to buy for someone. That’s why many people decide to buy a more ‘tangible’ gift. These come in a few formats; sculpture, ceramics and glassware.
Ceramics are essentially made from clay, but this doesn’t mean they are limited to pots or coffee mugs.
Below we showcase some of the unique eye-catching earthenware designed to be a focal point in their environment. Each of these is made by hand and is unique. These are not mass manufactured.
Sculpture
Sculptures are a more expansive art form than ceramics, as they can essentially be made from just about anything, including a mix of materials.
Some sculptures are made using moulds, which are then hand-finished, but most works are handmade at every step and are one-off artworks. They can also be finished in a myriad of glazes and may have their own platforms or stands. Nothing is off limits.
Jewellery
You often can’t go wrong with jewellery as a gift idea, but it has to be the right piece!
All our jewellery is exclusively made in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter by experienced professionals. But that doesn’t mean all our jewellery will break the bank.
At Lux Gallery we have original sterling silver options from as little as £50, and it’s not all exclusively for women. We also have cufflinks available by the talents of Kate Smith for men too.
Glass
Glass in a wonderful gift idea, as it is colourful and can be displayed in multiple places. There are myriad techniques for creating glass art, but they all share one common characteristic: they come alive with light.
Due to their transparency, glass is often best displayed near a window or light source. Each piece at Lux is unique by the artist
