Why choose Lux?

Owen de Visser has over a decade’s experience at photographing all subjects, from weddings, to family photoshoots, to commercial products. His photos have been published in national magazines and newspapers, shown on BBC television, and have been printed on billboards. He is a previous winner of the Birmingham Photography Award, and has also educated students of all ages about photography.

Here at Lux we offer tethered shooting, which means as we take your photo you can see the results within seconds with some processing included. No more waiting for a week to see the results, or viewing your photos on a tiny camera screen. Seeing the results live allows for better posing and expressions. This is something that very few competing studios offer.

Lux have a large range of coloured paper backgrounds, and a selection of muslin cloth options. Sofas, tea and coffee all included.

Are you a photographer who needs a space to shoot? We offer a full studio set up including 5 lights and various modifiers and backgrounds. Call us to know more. 20mins run though on Bowens lighting included. Photographer/editing/camera/lenses not included.

Perfect for simple e-commerce. Up to 100 free-standing products* photographed with 2 angles each on white background. Please contact us for other product photography requests first before booking *Products must be under 80cm³

The Small Print

1) All outstanding balances to be paid on day of photoshoot

2) Clients to be shown unprocessed photos on the day of shoot, to choose their selection for editing.

3) Turnaround for studio photoshoots is 1 week. On-location shoots may take up to a fortnight.

4) Prints of up to A2 to be printed at Lux and collected from Gallery

5) Choice of white, black or wood frames

6) Deposits for no-shows are non-refundable.

7) Please give us 1 week notice for cancellation requests
