We are finally open!
Last year, as we were planning our opening in May 2020, we had no idea what hurdles lay ahead of us. Just as our curator Owen de Visser received a contract of tenancy for 13 Greenfield Crescent, the world started to go a bit…weird.
Changes in landlord personnel, solicitors and agents meant that post lockdowns, things also took longer than we ever imaged. But it has all been worth the wait.
Lux Gallery & Photography Studio finally opens on Monday September 13th, on the newly-pedestrianised Greenfield Crescent in Edgbaston Village.

Our vision and purpose is 3-fold. Lux is a fully independent art gallery, showcasing some amazing artists that have never been seen before in the area, alongside some of the finest local talents. Positioned in the room behind the main gallery is a space that can be used as a fully equipped professional photography studio, or can double-up up as an additional gallery space when it is required. Lux also plans to use their space for special events, art classes and photography lessons. There’s lots to look out for.
