‘Williams Christ Pear’ is an original humorous artwork by German artist Theresa Franziska Jaenisch, inspired by René Magritte.

Each of Theresa’s unique paintings have a story behind the characters, written on the back of the work. The story for this artwork follows:

Fabienne received this pear from William for her birthday as a gift. It is a popular variety of table pear, and is well suited for compotes, fruit salads, or cakes. However, it is highly sensitive to pressure and bruising, so Fabienne has been carrying it around carefully for weeks. This is a highly impractical gift. Next year, she wants nuts again.

Acrylic on canvas board. 40x50cm (46x56cm framed)
