Lady Sun is my homage to the great and wonderful Billie Holiday.
“Sun showers never mind the rain
The sun will shine again through sun showers
In a little while the sky above will smile like luster
That follows your kiss, dark clouds of sorrow
Will soon be a sunny tomorrow”
Sarah combines her hand drawn sketches with digital illustration, painting, and original photography, layering as she goes. Sarah then uses digital processes, a kind of reverse taxidermy. Every tiny element is hand drawn and gradually built-up to create a rich and complex final image. These are then digitally formed into a final image, for a limited run (not a reproduction).
